No, Strand Hatters has not closed. We’re still proudly trading as Akubra Strand Arcade from our iconic location on the ground floor of the Strand Arcade in Sydney’s CBD.

Among its most storied tenants is Strand Hatters, proudly located on the ground floor since 1980. A destination in its own right, Strand Hatters played a key role in preserving traditional hatmaking culture, offering an unmatched selection of Akubra and international hats. it embodies the spirit of enduring style and Australian heritage—making the Strand Arcade not just a place to shop, but a place to connect with the stories that shape Sydney.
